The California Compassionate Use Act of 1996 officially grants patients and their caregivers lawful protection. Furthermore, the Health & Safety Code 11362.7-8 authorizes patients’ collectives to distribute marijuana for a strict medical use.

Is there a limit regarding the quantity of possession?

State law limits patients to 6 mature or 12 immature plants as well as a half pound of processed marijuana. However, these limits can be exempted if the doctor explicitly declares that the patient needs more.

How can I sign up for the recreational cannabis program?

Just pay a visit to our dispensary. Make sure to bring the recommendation of your doctor as only patients that are specifically certified to use medical marijuana will be accepted.

In order to get a permit to purchase medicinal marijuana, a patient has to be certified that he has a medical condition that allows him to take part in the program. Such conditions are:

  • Anorexia
  • Arthritis
  • Cachexia
  • Cancer
  • Chronic Pain
  • HIV or AIDS
  • Glaucoma

Unfortunately, lawful regulations stipulate that the program will not accept any patients, outside of the approved list of medical conditions.

What is Medical Marijuana Identification Card?

This card will identify you as a patient that is under the protection of lawful regulations.

In order to be qualified for a MMIC you will have to have a serious debilitating medical condition and a physician must recommend that you start using recreational cannabis.

Is the participation in the program obligatory?

Absolutely not! All participation is voluntary.

What is the time period for which my card will be active?

The medical marijuana identification card expires after 12 months.

Is it valid outside the state of California?

This would depend on the state itself. Make sure to contact relevant authorities in order to find out. The state of California does not allow usage of other state’s cards.

. How will medical marijuana help my condition?

This is dependent on each concrete condition. However, recreational cannabis is known to release chemicals that strongly enhance some of the organ’s functions and therefore enables the patient to recover faster or to ease some sort of physical suffering.
